Built around your choices
Nuvlek offers teen privacy defaults, Family Center, block/report, age restrictions and automated moderation. They reduce risks without promising to prevent every harmful interaction. The Beacon beetle and shield are welcoming navigation symbols, not a certification or a human safety agent.
If you feel unsafe
Stop responding, leave the call/server, block the person and report the specific message/profile/server. Do not pay blackmailers or share passwords, recovery codes, documents, location or intimate media. Friend requests are not identity proof. For serious threats, grooming or child abuse, contact support@tioneves.com with references, never suspected abuse images. Immediate danger needs local emergency services; Nuvlek cannot dispatch help.
Families and adult areas
Minimum age is 13. Ages 13–17 have friend-only DMs, restricted requests, always-on filtering, adult-area blocking, stranger warnings and no ads/profiling. In Brazil ages 13–16 inclusive need a guardian link before chat/voice; EU/UK follow national consent thresholds. Family Center shows summaries and purchase/server approvals, never message contents. Adult areas need Stripe Identity document/selfie checks; Nuvlek stores only result/date/provider/birth year from the check.
Serious abuse response
Company automated systems analyze photos/reports and enforce rules; appeals may be reviewed by a person. Zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation: restrict access, preserve evidence, terminate confirmed offending accounts and report to competent authorities. Brazil: Federal Police/National Screening Center under Decree 12.880 arts. 36–39. US: NCMEC. SaferNet is an additional channel. Evidence is not casually deleted to hide a case: legal preservation, transfer and required deletion after confirmed receipt follow Law 15.211 art. 27 and Decree art. 39.
Independent support
Brazil: CVV 188. US: call/text 988. UK: Samaritans 116 123. Japan: TELL and いのちの電話. Check hours/languages on their sites. Online child safety: SaferNet; US exploitation reports: NCMEC CyberTipline. These organizations are independent of Nuvlek.
Teen live sharing
Teens may publish camera, screen sharing or Go Live only with a linked legal guardian and live permission enabled by that guardian; it is off by default. Go Live offers Report stream.
Family controls and spending
A teen can link a legal guardian through their own adult account or provide the guardian’s email. The email link opens a web page to approve or decline without creating an account. The guardian chooses purchases and a monthly limit, DMs, camera/screen/Go Live and quiet hours. A guardian account is optional for viewing activity summaries: new friends, conversation partners, servers and voice minutes, never message contents. The teen sees “Guardian supervision active”; supervision is never hidden. Purchases and server entry follow the guardian’s approvals.
Default monthly spending limits apply to everyone: BRL 500 / USD 100 / EUR 100 / JPY 15,000. Anyone can lower their own limit; only the guardian can raise a teen’s limit. Settings shows today’s and this week’s usage; an optional daily limit displays a break reminder. Teen camera, screen and Go Live publishing requires a linked guardian and permission, off by default. Every Go Live has Report stream. Mandatory privacy and 18+ restrictions cannot be disabled.
Report without an account
Victims, guardians and authorities can use the identified public report form. Provide your name, email and the specific content link/ID; anonymous notices do not meet ECA Digital article 29 §2. The public channel is available under §3. For immediate danger call local emergency services: Brazil 190, US 911, Japan 110.
